Non-Stamped Nickel Mounted Pernambuco Viola Bow circa 1970-1980

This is a pernambuco nickel mounted viola bow. There are no points of origin stamped on the stick. The bow is round in section with a Parisian eye model frog that is fully lined. The bow is finished off with a three-piece end screw and the button has a pearl eye on the end. I have gone over the bow giving it a new tip, new winding, leathers, and a good cleaning. This is an excellent choice for a player looking to get into a pernambuco bow for not a lot of money. The stick is firm, yes strong, and has a nice gram weight. This is a sleeper; a bow that has good bones, handles and plays well, no maker’s name, no origin, and the purchase price is lower than the typical pernambuco bow. The bow is in excellent condition.
