Master violin maker Lothar Semmlinger and his sons Stefan (also a master maker) and Christian make musical instruments that are as much art as craft. Well-seasoned tonewoods, proprietary lacquer finish, and workmanship combine to make instruments that are known around the world; for example, they outfit the Royal Military Symphony Orchestra of Thailand.

This cello was made in Baiersdorf, Germany in 2025. Hand-made German cello with two-piece maple back, highly-flamed, with matching ribs, and scroll. The table is two-piece spruce with variable-width grain. Varnish has been shaded to simulate wear, and the top and back plates have been slightly antiqued. This Stradivari pattern cello is fitted in ebony. This cello has a huge sound, perfect for the player that needs to project.
