Juliano Oliveira Ipe Nickel Cello Bow

Ipe cello bow handmade by Juliano Oliveira in Brasil. Ipe has become a very popular wood for bow since the government of Brazil will not allow pernambuco to be harvested for making bows or allow already made bows to be exported. Ipe has the same attributes as pernambuco in its strength and ability to be worked and hold a shape. The round-section bow is mounted in nickel, and has a fully-lined ebony frog. The frog has mother-of-pearl for the Parisian eyes and slide, and pins are visible in the lining. The bow is finished with a leather thumb grip and three-piece nickel and ebony adjuster.
