We have a handmade violin by Henry Fisher. Henry grew up in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He made his first violin at the age of 13. Fisher won both the gold and silver tone awards in 2024 at The Violin Maker’s Association of Arizona International in Tucson. This violin is made with traditional wood and has a gorgeous two-piece flamed maple back and the scroll jumps as well. The instrument is completed in traditional ebony fittings, and the oil varnish is a clear satin.

Corpus 355.0 mm, Major Width 204.0 mm, Minor Width 166.0 mm, Rib Height 29.0 mm

The violin has some punch. The bottom end is big and has some guts, which I like in a violin. The response is quick, and the sound can be driven. The treble side is slightly brighter in its tone quality. The treble side also moves with power. I found a stick in a 61.0 gram weight helped resonate the violin well. This violin is a gem for the price. A handmade violin that responds well. May be perfect for the fiddler as well as an orchestral player. The violin is priced to sell.
