French Model Bass Bow circa 1980- Made In Germany

This French model pernambuco bass bow was made in Germany around 1980. It is octagonal-section and mounted in sterling silver. Along with the frog mount, the ferrule and the heel on the frog are silver. The winding, which is new, is nickel. The leather thumb grip and lapping which border the winding are also new. The ebony frog is a “blind frog,” which means that it does not have mother-of-pearl eyes, although the frog does have a mother-of-pearl slide. The three-piece adjuster is nickel and ebony and is finished with a pearl inset. This German-made bow is attractively priced for the player looking to move to a nicer stick in pernambuco.
