Brazilwood, which is related to pernambuco, is another specie of wood used for bows. Like pernambuco, Brazilwood also comes from Brazil and has been used in bow making for 260 years. This made in Beijing stick is in octagonal section. The bow has a strong head and an ebony frog in the Pecatte style. The frog has single mother-of-pearl eyes, a fully mounted nickel silver heel, and a colorful mother-of-pearl slide full of pink and green hues. The winding is nickel silver with a black silk accent. The frog is finished with a three-piece endscrew. The bow is a new stick in great condition. This would make an excellent stick for someone looking to start out in a better wooden cello bow.
