V. Schaeffer Gold Mounted Ipe Sartory Model Cello Bow – Brazil 2025

A WOW! cello bow made by Vanderson Schaeffer with an E. Sartory model frog, button, head, and Sartory style camber. The stick is round in section. Vanderson extends the octagonal shape well past the normal winding area which adds even more strength to the bow. The ipe is round in section and a remarkable piece of wood – choice. The chamfers in the head are done in knife work. Well done craftmanship that disappears into the round bow just behind the head. The winding on the stick is silver and gold tinsel thread, classy, and is encapsulated at the frog end in a leather thumb. The frog is Parisian eye model fully lined in gold, and the 5.0 mm pearl eyes have soft hues. The mother-of-pearl slide is very special fish eye pearl; pearl that appears to have tiny bubbles in the pearl in a yellow/gold color. The frog is completed in the traditional solid gold cap like a real Sartory bow. The bow is made at a very high level of craftmanship. An exquisite bow for a player to add to their outfit.
