W. GERMANY – on the butt of the bow
A very clean workshop bow with a classic look. A fifty-year-old bow that came from a wood pile that was hiding out in an old German barn for years, then found its way to a German workshop. The wood is dark chocolate color pernambuco in round section and it is mounted in nickel silver. The tip of the bow is bone, the frog is ebony, fully-lined and what I call blind eye. There are no mother-of-pearl eyes in the frog. The winding is imitation whale bone with a leather thumb grip. The bow is in great is in condition and will make a good entrance bow for a player wanting to get into a pernambuco bow.
