Made in Germany– on the frog player’s side

There are no other markings on the bow. It is a great playing bow that has a tip spline. The spline is in good shape and I stand behind the bow 100% if it would let go. The bow is older pernambuco, nickel mounts, and was made in the area famous for bow makers, Markneukirchen. This town is just a few miles from the Czech border and is famous for its instrument and bow making, especially in the 19th and early 20th centuries. I could just throw out the bow out or let it become a tomato plant holder for my wife. I did a tip spline in pernambuco and gave it a new silver winding with leathers along with a fresh new rehair. The bow works splendidly and will be great for a player looking for an older German bow that normally would sell for close to $1,100. Pernambuco, round in section, nickel silver mounts, and a restored tip head. Take a chance on this bow, you will not be disappointed. I stand behind the bow 100%: if the bow fails at the tip – full replacement. The price of the bow is just covering what I have cost-wise into the bow. A great stick at a very affordable price.
