This sterling silver mounted German bow was made in the workshop of Master bow maker Otto Dürrschmidt of Markneukirchen. Dürrschmidt made bows up until his death in 1922. The workshop continued under his sons Kurt and Carl. This octagonal stick is branded and stamped on the stick and frog. The bow is strong and plays well with the balance point centered in the stick. The balance point measures at 26.5 cm. Pernambuco specie, sterling mounts, solid silver endscrew and the mother of pearl eyes are just 3.0 mm, very nice. This is a very nice professional players bow.

Weight fully haired 61.1 grams.
