We have an excellent older violin bow from the Markneukirchen area of Germany. The bow has Germany (in small caps) branded on the facet behind the frog. The pernambuco is darker and more chocolate in color, beautiful, in round section. The frog is made with silver pins in combination with a very tiny handmade screw in plate of the frog. Mr. Judd really likes the classic look of a blind eye frog (no mother-of-pearl eyes), and the end screw cap is sterling silver. We have added a new tip, a new sterling silver winding, and a leather thumb to complete the restoration. The playability of the bow is very nice. The bow has flexibility and strength all wrapped up in a lightweight stick with sterling silver mounts. This is a beautiful 80 – 90-year-old German bow now in very good condition.

Weight fully haired 58.4 grams.
