Manoel Francisco *** Ipe Silver Special Cello Bow

Handmade round-section cello bow using ipe (pronounced E Pay) rather than pernambuco. Since the Brazilian government is restricting pernambuco exports, ipe (an extremely hard, durable wood) is a natural choice for fine quality bows such as this Manoel Francisco*** offering. The bow is mounted with sterling silver and has very fine silver for the winding. The fully lined Dodd-style frog has a mother-of-pearl slide. Finishing the bow is a lizard leather thumb grip, bone tip, and a solid silver adjuster.
