Edw. Herrmann* Viola Bow
Round-section pernambuco stick stamped “Edw. Herrmann*”. We believe the maker was a member of the Herrmann family of bow makers from Markneukirchen, Germany who was active in bow making from the mid to late 20th century. This bow has a full nickel-silver mount and winding, ebony frog with mother-of-pearl slide and eyes, leather thumb grip, and a three-piece ebony and nickel-silver button.
