Outstanding High-Grade 3/4 Size Violin

An outstanding 3/4 fractional size violin. It is well made using high grade woods and it shows excellent workmanship. There is not a flaw on it and my eyes go immediately to the one-piece back. The instrument has no brand or paper label. The patina and pseudo aging under the varnish work lead me to believe its origin as a relatively recently made trade instrument.

Corpus 333 mm. Major Width 196 mm. Minor Width 157 mm. Rib Height 30 mm.

The instrument plays well, very manageable, and has a slightly overall darker sound. Tonally it’s pleasant and rich under the ear. The response off the string is quick and I like how clean the sound is, not covered. In short, this instrument sounds as if it is a full-size violin. It will be a great violin for the up and coming serious younger player.
