Wilhelm Raum, German Cello Bow, circa 1970
$600.00

This cello bow was made for the trade in the 1970’s in the Markneukirchen area of Germany. It is branded Wilhelm Raum and has the WR logo on the player’s side of the frog. The stick is a firm piece of pernambuco wood in octagonal-section and is classically dark as well as strong. The bow has some nicks and patina on the stick itself. There is some playing wear on the nickel-silver which is the contact area of the players hand on any bow. Our bow is finished in nickel mounts and is in good condition. The bow has been fully restored here in our workshop. This is German stick waiting for a serious player looking for a bow with a heavier gram weight. A nice German cello bow and priced to sell.
Weight fully haired 92.5 grams.
