The bow is a high-grade cello bow made for the trade in the Markneukirchen area of Germany. The stick is a firm piece of pernambuco wood in octagonal section with nickel silver mounts. The pernambuco used in this bow is a knock-out, with beautiful color and grain. The stick is a choice piece of wood that could have been used on a higher priced sterling silver cello bow. Our bow is finished in nickel mounts and is in very good condition. There are no issues except that there is some playing wear on the nickel silver which is the contact area of the hand on any bow. This is a fantastic playing German stick waiting for a serious player looking for a great cello bow at a nickel price.
