Unbranded – SOLD 8/12/2020
The unusual styling of the button and the graceful transition from the octagonal part of the stick to the refined head are elements consistent with bows crafted by Fritz Meinel (1885-1962). Trained in the W.A. Pfretzschner workshop, it is known that he provided unstamped and unstained bows to the Albert Nürnberger workshop; it is reasonable to assume he may have also provided the same to other shops as well. Pernambuco mounted in silver, the bow features an ebony frog accented with mother-of-pearl slide and eyes, and is finished with the silver and ebony button of two narrow silver end rings and a wide ebony center ring.
Weight fully haired 56.5 grams.
