Model T-III Size 4/4 SN# 30071

This violin has German construction and accurate clean lines. It’s a trade instrument made in a Stradivarius pattern. The plates are fully purfled and flexible, which help create a powerful sound. The choice of woods are traditional; maple and spruce with the fittings completed in ebony. We have gone over the entire violin and have cut all new fittings. The violin has playing wear, which is a great sign. Someone loved and played on this instrument for many years. The orange/brown spirit varnish was completed with brush work and the varnish has natural patina on a golden orange ground.

Corpus 355.0 mm., Major Width 208.0 mm., Minor Width 167.0 mm., Rib Height 29.0 mm.

The sound is charming. The top is sweet and clear with power and boldness. The violin has a beautiful tonal core which is noticeable. The lower strings also have power and are simply focused with an alive and tremendous response. The instrument will be perfect for an intermediate player looking to move into a violin with age, European construction, ease of play, and a sound above its pay grade.
