This beautiful late 19th century instrument is stunning in look and sound. We have recently bushed all of the pegs and carved all new ebony fittings. The violin features birds-eye maple ribs and wide “ears” on the volute which give it a beautiful, unique look. A Del Gesu pattern instrument, it is as comfortable belting out a gutsy tune as it is singing a sweet lullaby. It has a distinct and rich tone that projects well and is sweet under the ear. The dark sound matches perfectly with the deep red-brown varnish on a golden ground.
