Carl Fischer New York
This early 20th century round-section cello bow stamped “Carl Fischer New York” has a nickel-silver mounted frog of ebony and a divided button of ebony and nickel-silver. The frog has a traditional round heel and a somewhat square throat, ornamented with colorful yet subtle pearl eyes. The ironwood stick has an attractive figure, a full graduation, and a mild camber. Weighing 78.2 grams, the bow is nicely balanced and draws evenly on the string. The flowing lines of the head of this bow are marked by a particularly long and elegant nose.
