Reghin, Romania is home to the Calin Wultur Workshop, where a small group (approximately 30) of luthiers make instruments mostly by hand. Tonewoods from the Carpathians, skilled craftsmen, and hand applied varnishes come together to create high quality instruments at very affordable prices. It is called the Piatti in honor of the great 19th century cellist Carlo Alfredo Piatti.
