¾ Size Outstanding High-Grade Chinese Violin – SOLD DECEMBER 21, 2022 –

An outstanding ¾ fractional size violin. It is well made using high grade woods and it shows excellent workmanship. There is not a flaw on it and my eyes go immediately to the one-piece back. The instrument contains no brand or paper label. The patina and pseudo aging under the varnish work lend me to believe its origin.
The instrument plays well, very manageable and a slightly overall darker sound. Tonally it’s pleasant and rich under the ear. The response off the string is quick and I like how clean the sound is, not covered. In short, this instrument sounds as if it is a full-size violin. It will be a great violin for the up and coming serious younger player.
