Grancino Copy

Labeled "Giovanni Grancino in contrada." One-piece maple back of medium flame, descending from left to right. Matching ribs, neck, and scroll. Two-piece spruce top of narrow grain widening significantly toward the edges. Orange-brown varnish with much simulated wear and patina. Fitted in ebony with brass highlights and set up with Pro Arte strings. The instrument features a bright, strong sound.

Carlo Gavoni

A copy of Joseph Guarnerius made in Markneukirchen, Germany, 1923. This powerful sounding violin has a two piece maple back and two piece spruce top. The back and top plates contain much patina. The varnish is dark amber brown with a touch of red. This violin features ebony fittings with pear tips and collars and Evah Pirazzi strings with a Gold Label E.

JHS-V

This violin, made by William J. Hu in the Snow Workshop, features select European tonewoods. It is part of the professional line from Snow and is in excellent condition. The two piece Bosnian maple back matches the ribs, neck and scroll. The two piece spruce top is of medium grain. The slightly antiqued linseed oil varnish is golden brown in color. The violin is set up with Parisian eye ebony fittings and Dominant strings.

Raúl Emiliani

This Master Model violin features a one piece highly flamed maple back and gorgeous tonewoods. The ribs, neck and scroll match the back in flame. The amber orange-brown oil varnish is slightly antiqued. The violin contains boxwood fittings with light colored pins and collars and Dominant strings with a Pirastro Gold Label E.

This violin is named in memory of Raúl Emiliani, an Italian born violinist, composer, and arranger. His work as a pedagogue contributed to the development of numerous fine instrumentalists. Professor Emiliani died in 1989.

This violin is available in Stradivari and Guarneri patterns.

From the workshop of Peter Yang. Based on a 1712 Guarnerius del Gesu, this instrument has a strong, bright sound. Featuring a one-piece maple back of bright, medium width flame and matching ribs, neck and scroll. The top is two-piece spruce of narrow grain. The instrument comes with boxwood fittings and Vision strings.

Giorgio Luigi Belloso

Created in the workshop of Steven Tillinghast Cundall, these violins feature beautiful one or two-piece back violins. The table has a fine to medium-width grain spruce, with a tastefully-antiqued orange-brown varnish on a golden ground. Fine craftsmanship throughout. The instruments are finished in boxwood fittings.

Germany, 2005. This violin has tremendous projection and playability. Two-piece maple back with matching ribs, neck and scroll. Hand drawn oil finish with an orange-brown varnish, tastefully antiqued. Fitted with rosewood.

Enrico Izinati

Created in the workshop of Steven Tillinghast Cundall in 2008, this violin features a gorgeous one piece, highly flamed, maple back with matching ribs, neck and scroll. The two piece spruce top contains a medium width grain. The varnish is a tastefully antiqued, transparent golden orange varnish and contains some patina. The violin is fitted in boxwood and Zyex strings. This is a very beautiful new violin.

Scott Studios

From the Minneapolis workshop of award-winning luthier William R. Scott, recipient of numerous certificates and medals (including gold) from the Violin Society of America. Two piece maple back, good flames of medium width, and matching ribs, neck and scroll. The top is two-piece spruce of medium-width grain, with the grain narrowing toward the edges.

The instrument features ebony fittings, Zyex strings, and has a rich, bright, projecting sound.

The two piece spruce top contains a fine width grain at the center and broadens towards the edges. The varnish is an amber red-brown. The instrument is fitted in rosewood and Evah Pirazzi strings with a Pirastro Gold Label E.

This violin, finished in May of 2008, comes from the school "Bottega di Parma," a workshop in Parma, Italy dedicated to continuing the rich and ancient violin making tradition of the city.
A Stradivarius model violin with a beautiful one piece maple back. The back, ribs and scroll all match in degree of flame. Two piece spruce top of fine width grain. The hand drawn varnish is an amber-brown on a golden base. Fitted in ebony and Dominant strings with a Gold Label E.

Heinrich Gill

Model No. 68, made in 2006. This top of the line model was handmade in Bubenreuth, Germany with the highest care and attention from the Gill shop. This violin is an excellent example of German craftsmanship. It combines rich warm tones and the power of a concert violin. The violin contains a two piece, highly flamed, maple back with an ebony heel. Ribs, neck and scroll match in degree of flame and beauty of the back plate. The two piece spruce top contains very straight and even grain. The hand drawn varnish is an antiqued deep orange brown on a golden ground. The instrument contains much patina. The violin fitted in rosewood and Evah Pirazzi strings with a Gold Label E.

Bernd Dimbath "Plowden" Violin

Made in Bubenreuth, Germany, 2007, this violin is a copy of the Giuseppe Guarneri del Gesu "Plowden" violin, anno 1735. The violin contains a one piece maple back with the flame descending right to left. The highly flamed back matches the ribs, neck and scroll. The two piece spruce top contains a well pronounced medium width grain. The violin features the finest of rosewood fittings and an intense, hand drawn, antiqued orange-brown varnish. This instrument has a fantastic response and is set up with Infeld Red G and D, Dominant A and Gold Label E strings.
