Made in 2008. This is Eastman's newest model cello featuring very tastefully done antiqued varnish work. It has a gorgeous two piece, highly flamed, maple back. When facing the front of the cello, the rib on the right matches the back plate while the rib on the left contains very little flame. The cello is fitted in ebony with a German Wittner tailpiece and Helicore strings.

Hong Kong, 2009. This cello features traditional woods: maple, spruce, willow and ebony. The neck and scroll are exceptional in their degree of flame. The two piece spruce top is of medium width grain. The cello is finished in an orange-brown spirit varnish. It is antiqued to give a slightly older appearance. Fitted in ebony with Parisian eye pegs and a German Wittner tailpiece. Strung with Helicore A and D and Spirocore G and C. This cello has a huge sound.

These instruments are quite striking because of their finished looks. The quality of antiquing gives them a hundred year old look to them. These cellos have a very powerful focused sound and are excellent instruments for the more intermediate and advanced players.

This Strad pattern cello has a two piece, highly flamed, maple back with matching ribs, neck and scroll. Two piece spruce top of fine to medium width grain. The cello contains beautifully carved rosewood pegs. The pegs have been bushed. The cello is fitted with an ebony fingerboard, saddle and nut, a Wittner tailpiece, a Belgian bridge, as well as Larsen A and D and Spirocore G and C strings. The instrument is in excellent condition even though the orange-brown varnish contains some wear and much patina.
