Samuel Shen Model 80

Samuel Shen's laminated cellos provide great looks and high durability for school district and rental programs, and allow young students an opportunity to experience strong tone and playability.

Our Model 80 cello is fully laminated, providing a good-sounding instrument at a student-friendly price. It features an attractive lacquer varnish. All fittings are done in ebony and include a German Wittner composite tailpiece.

Available in 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and 4/4 sizes.

Samuel Shen Model 150 Hybrid

Made in 2008. The hybrid cello has a laminated back and ribs but features a beautifully carved top which gives the cello a warm, rich sound. This cello is fitted in ebony, has a German Wittner tailpiece. This is a used older model of the hybrid cello from our rental program which would normally sell for $1,250.

Pacific Custom Cello

This is a cello fully carved in China for J.R. Judd Violins, fitted in our shop. The instrument has a two piece maple back and two piece spruce table with grain of varying width. The varnish is an amber brown and is consistent throughout the entire cello.

The fittings are done in ebony and include a German Wittner tail piece, and the instrument is equipped with Helicore strings. The instrument has a great sound for a fully-carved cello under $1,000!

Samuel Shen Hybrid Model 150

Samuel Shen's hybrid cellos provide great looks and high durability for school district and rental programs, and allow young students an opportunity to experience strong tone and playability.

Our Model 150 cello has a laminated back and ribs but features a beautifully-carved top which gives the instrument a warmer, richer sound. This combination of woods allows for a greater sound in a more affordable cello.

Samuel Eastman Model 100 Cello

The Samuel Eastman model 100 cellos have become a staple of string programs everywhere. Outstanding features include beautiful, select tonewoods, genuine hand-inlaid purfling, and a glowing amber-brown varnish that is durable as well as attractive. These fully carved instruments provide quality of sound and craftsmanship to beginning and advancing players.

Klaus Geisler

Two piece flamed maple back. Two piece spruce top. Fitted with ebony pegs. The cello contains patina and wear on the ribs and top plate. This would be a great student cello.

The Shen Stradivari Willow cello is fully carved featuring a spruce top and two piece aged willow back and ribs. Hand applied oil varnish. This cello has a beautiful warm tone.

Andreas Eastman Model 200

The Eastman Model 200 is entirely hand-crafted of well seasoned, select tonewoods. It features an attractive and durable hand-applied amber satin varnish. Real ebony fingerboard, pegs and Wittner composite tailpiece with four fine tuners. This is an outstanding, modestly-priced step-up model.
