We offer viola bows in four select materials: pernambuco, brazilwood, carbon fiber, and fiberglass. Pernambuco is the finest material for bowmaking and offers a rich sound, superb flexibility, and strength for the serious player. Brazilwood is a related specie which provides a low-cost alternative to pernambuco for the player who still desires a wood stick. Carbon fiber is a high-tech material offering excellent response, projection, and durability. Fiberglass is a low-cost, highly-durable material appropriate for the beginning violist.
